Last month Emma got to experience her first hail storm; and it was a big one. The hail went through our roof at the back door (and old roof, not the house) and ripped a clothes line cover to shreds. No other damage for us though. Emma is still going to ballet class every Saturday ... Read moreA month in review – May 2017 Read more »

A month in review – May 2017

What have we been doing…
Easter; I took Emma to the local Bunnings Hardware easter night. We ate hotdogs and painted rabbits.
Parks; we go to the parks every chance we can.
Ballet class; after a break during school holidays class has started again and Emma is still loving it.
Emma has been helping out at home. She feeds the cats their dinner. She also cleans up her toys in the lounge room (sometimes) after Mum has asked her only 4-5 times.
We started renovating our bathroom last month; and the floor had to be replaced as it was rotten in parts. Emma was very surprised to come home and see no floor in the room. Very surprised.
Last Saturday night we went to the zoo for a light festival. Lots of light sculptures. We all loved it.

Emma’s first selfie!

Upset because daddy gave her cereal.  In my defense; she asked for cereal.

Last month Emma got to experience her first hail storm; and it was a big one. The hail went through our roof at the back door (and old roof, not the house) and ripped a clothes line cover to shreds. No other damage for us though.

Emma is still going to ballet class every Saturday is is loving it. I think she is the teachers pet.
We’ve had lots of rain; almost every day this month. Last Sunday we took Emma to the cinemas for the first time to see the Peppa Pig movie. She loved it. I had to take two extra pillows from home for her to sit on so she was high enough. She really liked the popcorn too.

This week Emma has turned 3! Julia organised a birthday party for her at a playcentre in a shopping centre. A great move considering it was a very hot weekend in Sydney.

Emma has also moved from her cot; to a big girl bed.

Lunch at an outdoor cafe – Emma and her friend Lara – they went exploring and found chicken eggs behind the hay.

Inflatable World

Today I took Emma to Inflatable World at Mt Kuring-Gai. The venue is a large ‘warehouse’ type building. I believe its used for indoor sports, such as indoor cricket. But today it was setup as a giant jumping castle complete. They have an area which is only 5 years old and younger, and the other side which is any age. The kids loved it. Entry is for 2 hours which was more than enough time for Emma to wear herself out. Staff were very friendly and they had several people walking around supervising which was great. Most places don’t have any supervision.
