Wandering tangents of thought
Calendar Swap
Each year my friend Murph and I do a calendar swap. He lives in Boston so it means you get a slightly more interesting calendar hanging on your wall than if you just bought it locally. I think its pretty amazing that we still keep in contact. We met on a Contiki bus tour in the United States while holidaying in the year 2000. I think it was a 10 or 14 day tour. So considering that we still are in contact today I think is impressive. Murph has even visited me in Australia a few years ago. And when I was last in New York in 2006 we caught up again. I’m putting a few extra things in with the calendar this time. I won’t go into detail in case Murph is reading this blog post
But I’ll post about it after he receives it.

Hey Brian,
I’m glad the package got to Sydney in one piece. I’m pretty amazed we keep in touch as well. It’s good to remain friends with cool people, wherever they are. Although the internet makes that easier these days, the calendar (and the good stuff thrown in the envelope) is a little yearly treat. According to our past visits, I think 2010 is my turn to visit you.
The Sydney calendar always gets rave reviews anyway. Take care,
Murph
